Great idea never thought about using a winch motor, i have an electric grinder, but it is noisy and sounds like it will fail any time. Im going to try this with my manual grinder. Thanks for sharing.

This coupling is incredible, normally it is driven with a conventional belt which sometime slips and has multiple safety issues.Thanks, watching from Pakistan.

I just put my chinese 18v impact driver with 1/2 inch connection 1800nm torque on it and it grinds the meat perfectly.

I've been building and servicing industrial machines for over 35 years and I can tell you that getting a bigger and stronger winch would be a totally unnecessary waste of money. That winch motor is already 4 or 5 times the strength needed to do the job you're asking it to do.
Also as far as worrying about the motor overheating, as long as you keep that fan and end bell shroud on the back of the motor, you should have nothing to worry about. The winding insulation in that motor should be rated at a minimum of 125 C to 200 C. It would have to get far too hot to touch for it to over heat.
