If you're grinding meat in a food processor, you must chunk your meat and then stick in the freezer for about 20 minutes to harden it up first. If you don't do that, you'll get a pasty grind with random larger pieces.

There have been a lot of meat grinder videos for review and this is the most detailed and thorough I have seen so far 👏🏾👏🏾

I love how in depth you were. I have a Vita-Mix food processor and have been using it for dog food. It works great.
The only issue is the meat scratch the plastic bowl.
I will be better at pulsating

I agree with your assessment. I own both a meet grinder and processor. I use the processor more frequently though I do not grind meat with it but it will do in a pinch for small batches of meat balls, or breakfast sausages. I like to make sausages and frankfurters from scratch and due to the amount of work and the time investment, I never make less than a 5 lb batch at a time. I don’t know about y’all but I’m not attempting to grind 5-10 lbs of meat in a processor that holds half to one lb at a time.

Try par freezing the meat before you put it through the food processor. Helps keep individual “grains”

Have you tried the cheese grating attachment? Seems like that would provide a more uniform grind?

If you all ready have the stand mixer the grinder attachment isn't going to take up anymore storage space than the hand grinder, probably a little less, and it's cheaper. If I'm just grinding up a small batch of meat for a single recipe I'll usually grab the food processor. If I'm grinding an entire chuck roast for burger I'll use the stand mixer w/attachment.

Thank you. I just bought one after debating whether to use my food processor. Also thanks
for showing the official kitchenaid one. I bought a cheaper off brand from amazon and it was
garbage I just sent back.

Is a 500W food processor good for meat?

Do you just take store bought hamburger and add cheese whatever. Is that the purpose of the grinder. Have the kitchen aide no grinder but wondering what the purpose of the grinder

Very good video. I would say that I choose the blender any day. Think about the metal shaving from the mincer going into your food and where those mincers were produced ( 99% China).
