I found a great similarity to the content of this section and Skinner's (1957) "behaviourist" understanding of language. Skinner explains that language is learnt through "action-reaction" and "conditioning" of the children. Much so as the assistants in Wittgenstein's do "react" to the "stimulus" of words. Skinners demonstrates this idea with experiments conditioning birds and mice and other animals and these experiments gave him a lot of credit since it seems much more "scientific". This idea is still in practice in many schools.
