This song reminds me of my friend. He was 16 when he passed, and I haven't forgotten him since. He was so funny, trusting, and youthful. Not once did I think he was sick. Not once did he ever tell me, or burden me. He laughed and lived until he wasn't.

The worst part is that I never said goodbye. I didn't know it was his time. And it kills me to this day. Now I'm graduating, and going to college, and he isn't. Hell never go to college.

So I'll wait for him, like a stone. Maybe I'll see him again.

Probably sounds more than a little sappy, but this was playing in the ambulance during a trip to a hospital after I attempted suicide a few years ago. It was stuck in my head for pretty much my entire stay. I feel like it kind of kept me anchored to reality a bit.Great song.

I heard this song for the first time about an hour ago, and for no reason I start to tear up. Maybe it was the singer’s angelic voice, or maybe it was the beautiful lyrics. Either way, whatever it was that made me cry, this song couldn’t be better

Born November 1992, I have been listening to Chris Cornell since the age of 12. Not long after his death I had the most vivid dream being in a unfinished basement with Chris standing right infront of me looking me in the face, no words exchanged. I remember a drum kit, bass guitar on stand, speakers and cases of bud light stacked up. I am thankful I got to see Soundgarden in 2014 in toronto. Beyond the wheel during a thunderstorm, Chris said fuck it we're going to keep playing and told the clouds to fuck off!
