SmallAnt, a well known Speed Runner tackled Pokemon Emerald while having his Pokemon LOSE XP instead of GAIN XP during battles. His Pokemon leveled down every single battle which created an incredible experience and an insane challenge!

Honestly, I think that the hardest part about this challenge isn’t the fact that your Pokémon don’t evolve. The hardest part is the fact that your Pokémon can’t learn any new moves. Your Pokémon will always level down and never reach the levels they need to learn better moves naturally. You COULD use TMs, but they are a one time use and the Pokémon you use them on will only get worse the more you use them in battle. This challenge is absolutely insane!

The level 100 Poochyeena was due to an integer underflow in the XP, its the same way you get a glitched level 100 from a level 1 pokemon in gen 1.
