Take it back, first one is free, after that you sit a year if you transfer again!! Also end the pay for play NIL, make it endorsement based!! Thats how it was meant to be!!! This pay for play for guys who havent played a down of college football is insane!! Look, im a Bama fan and im completely against Bama or anyone else doing this especially this poaching players who are not in the portal, im for very strong punishment for any University caught poaching, including Bama!!

Tech beat both big 12 title game teams and was 1 win from being there. Losing the (2nd) best RB in college football hurts but man what a reload

Easy fix rules:

Can’t use money/NIL prior to an athlete enrolling at your program. This will keep from tampering and kids making the decision based solely on money.

Only one transfer that doesn’t center around graduating or season ending injury. This encourages kids to get a degree in order to find themselves transferring somewhere new but allows for your G5 stars to get a chance at P4 level.

Idk if that makes any sense but this would fix damn near every issue we have with NIL/transfer portal in my opinion.

I thought a month ago the goal for lsu was to spend around 14 mil in the portal. How is it news now that we are spending a lot, didn’t we know this?

Once again the ncaa proves they are the worst governing body in the country. Why in the world would they have the transfer portal open at the same time that u have the best college football playoff in history just beginning. The portal should not be open at the same time.

So A&M gave Micah Hudson his $700k up front and cars for he and his family?

The transfer portal should start as soon as the last college football game is played.

Keep calling out LSU. We need the heat under the proverbial “boot”y. ;)

currently 3, 311 players have entered the transfer portal, 68% have committed to another program already and this is only the first window. this gotta be a joke. I know colleges and players asked for this but this is a nightmare for coaches. Eric Bienemey explained part of this on the Herd earlier today. “bUt CoAcHeS JumP ShIp AlL tHe TiMe!!” if a better program offers me money while i’m at a smaller program then why would I decline?

Boise State owned Mateer when BSU beat Wazzu 45-24 in September.

My only problem with the Transfer Portal is the use of the word committed.

It should not be that X player has committed to Y college.

Once the transfer portal option has been engaged and completed it should be that Y college has committed to X player.

Ain’t no players committing to anything when the plan is to keep using the portal.

Everyone wants to talk parity but I don’t think they truly understand it. The talent will get spread out a little by having players stuck on depth charts going to different schools but they won’t stay. It’s a carousel now where players treat “smaller” programs as juco. Transfer over to get playing time, do well and then transfer out to a bigger program after they show they can play.

All this does is make “smaller” teams way more volatile but the big boys will stay consistent like always.

The NIL and portal have to be killing jersey sales. Who’s gonna pay $100 for a jersey when the guy might not be there next year 😂

Every team ranked highly isn’t in the playoff for a reason the teams in the playoff will be fine for the most part a lot of these teams are in panic to get good quick aka A&M
