I’m a 90s kid, now 35, and to be honest I truly miss the magic and romance of Dating in the late 90s and early 2000s. Girls (and men) used to be so much dedicated to the moment, I’ll never forget the late night dinner and subsequent adventures going out with a girl, walking the streets late, visiting the cinema, running through the park in the dark, making out by the beach under the moonlight, wow what a time. Also how I met love of my life (we broke up unfortunately a decade later)

now I’m trying to date again and it’s the most sad and pathetic, hook up culture the obsession with social media, tik tok, getting likes, speed dating, too much focus on sex and the attitude of girls, the texting game leaving you on read for days and ghosting you etc, has put me off dating for the foreseeable future

I feel the same about having Netflix, tube, Amazon prime, Disney plus… takes me foreverrr to find a movie because I have so many options. If I don’t like the first 5 minutes of it, I go to the next and then I get a headache in the end and end up not watching anything

Dating apps have made a majority of young women think they are "more than" they actually are. It's to where if a guy looks in a woman's direction she thinks that guy wants her when he could be looking at something else entirely. Gym culture is a good example.

Born in 94, so i grew up in the 2000’s. I was always shy and introverted. I never asked my crush out because i was always afraid of rejection. I grew up with autism and I wasn’t socially accepted for my quirks. I had to work on my social life; going to parties, to the mountains, beaches with a group of friends and actually socialize. I never really had the courage to ask anyone out, i was bullied, made fun of, rejected, ridiculed by my cousins and peers growing up. I am an extremely quiet person. But when came to girls, they were actually friendly to talk to. I’ve made a lot of friends with girls. Being on the football team and coming out of my shell bit by bit. But that was all taken away from me when my family had gotten into trouble with drugs. We were couch surfing and that took a toll on my self esteem. I went through trauma for years until i made friends again. Went to college. Girls were still nice. Then covid happened. After covid nothing has been the same. Girls are snobbish. Even the nice ones are more reserved than they were before. Everything on social media is so political now. Transgenderism is more apparent. Female empowerment is in every new movie you see. Feminism and the red pill movement is very annoying. My way of life has changed drastically. And he is right. We should be adapting to it rather than being mad at it.. it’s gonna be harder the notion of being a good man isn’t enough anymore.. you gotta be some kind of alpha male..
