I bought the SX. For me, the extra $5, 000 for the Prestige didn't make sense. I love this vehicle! A couple of notes about seating. The SX has seating for 8 (middle row removable) and works well for car seats. The Prestige only has seating for 7 and the dentist chairs (not removable) in the back don't work as well for rear-facing car seats, according to the comments on the Carnival FB pages. The rear entertainment system is a pain in the ass and is not optional. Correction for the coach, the vehicle does not have WiFi. You have to use a hotspot or jetpack. Other than that, it is GREAT. Good luck finding one. Better yet, good luck finding one at MSRP. Dealers are marking them up $5-$10k over MSRP, just as they did/are with the Telluride. I had a connection with my dealer and got it for MSRP minus $500 rebate and $400 military/Veteran discount.

Loren when you gave the van a 10 for safety I thought that would be my big buying point. You are a mom and have had kids do crazy stuff. A safety 10 from a mom reviewer would go a long way.

Right now Honda and Toyota are like.. oh Wow we have our work cut out for.. I had never been interested in Korean cars, but I have to admit they have come a LONG way! The Carnival looks like a big SUV!

Excellent review. XS Prestige: The only thing I'm zonking KIA on are rear turn indicators, mounted low in rear bumper. Not only that, but slow flashing, old fashioned 1940's technology incandescent bulbs while EVERY other light on vehicle is modern LED. Absolutely makes no sense why manufacturers continue to follow this trend?
