That's the thing about the Marine Corps, it's 24 hours, your rest always comes second and in the Reserves they try to pack as much training into the time that they have you. So 2-5 hours a sleep a night is not uncommon. It's partially why the USMC only has like a 10% retention rate.

The Reserves is insane with money. I’m in the Navy Reserves and while on reportable income I made below 40k, I realistically made about 70k with entitlement around 90k (free healthcare, free lodging, per diem, BAS/BAH)

He's right. Between your base pay, per diem, BAH, and mileage if you drove the pay is great. I miss being in the reserves.

Why is it that every time there's a military spending bill, the money goes to contractors like Lockheed, Raytheon, Boeing, etc. instead of increasing the pay for our troops?

These companies are rich while the ones who are required to put their life on the line are getting literal crumbs from the budget.

Active duty and reserve make the same on reserve does not get paid more than us.
