I’m just glad all the early reviews don’t say it’s bug ridden with major performance issues

Yes, by just watching the gameplay footage, it does remind me a lot of Bioshock

"alternate history, where the Soviet Union won WW2"... wait what?

This explores what happens to the Sweat of Your Brow if the Man in Moscow has his say. So good to know they go dystopian too.

Frost talking at x1.5 speed is a sight(?) to behold.

The intro definitely reminded me of bioshock infinite. Other than being forced to watch cutscenes you've already seen before because you died and the autosave point or safe room wasn't reached is a little annoying but overall it's a very enjoyable game with obvious inspirations.

Whether I'll enjoy the game or not, I can't deny that the art style and setting is top notch.

Frost talking fast in this one. Lot to fit in I guess, but its weird from him.

i prefer this type of review over yahtzee's style, the 3 minute length is perfect, nice job.

Might be the first time I've seen anyone review a game with a Mick Gordon soundtrack and not bring it up whatsoever. Ballsy move there, Frost

I've heard several people describe Atomic Heart as "Bioshock Infinite without Elizabeth starring Duke Nukem without the jokes or self-awareness."

Giving me Deathloop vibes. Game I really like from an aesthetic view that falls short of being a good video game.

The bit about the upgrade to remove weapon sway is one of my pet peeves; a list of gunplay mechanics that exist so the player can turn them off with upgrades. I thought the weapon jamming was cool and well detailed in Deathloop, so of course there's a way to get rid of it in the second half. Really hoping upgrade trees go back to being a feature of a specific genre, not a staple in every triple A experience.

All that said still might get this one. I do like aesthetics when they work and will play a ~10ish hour game for them.

When checking the gameplay reel, banter between player character and AI helper seemed like it would get real obnoxious real fast

I feel like after mentioning the prices and platforms where the game is available, the review should also make mention of that fact that it's available day one on Xbox Game Pass - so if you are a subscriber, you will have access to this already.

Glad to hear 3MR enjoyed it! I think I'll bust out the card for this one then. If it's "bizarre" in its storytelling then I'm very excited to see it play out, warts and all.

I like it overall myself... I guess my review would be somewhat similar, though I'd say "woah, amazing work considering it's your first ever game published"

I'm glad the game will see success, as I believe a larger budget and more devs could give this company the tools to make an absolute banger.

They clearly have the passion. Spent a decade working on it, and luckily didn't give us a broken mess or junk.

So yeah, I'm really looking forward to what they have in store for the future.

its a eurojank title id say, great gameplay reminiscent of dyinglight or metro with combat variety of bioshock and world building. story-wise, its just as a form of direction along the way.

The art style looks like of like someone made a whole game out of the "Port Royal" ray tracing benchmark in 3Dmark.
