Things you didn’t know about Hungary.
After World War One, when the dual monarchy of Austria-Hungary collapsed, Hungary lost more than two thirds of it’s territory and half of it’s population, parts of Hungary being annexed by Kingdom of Serbs Croats and Slovenes, Romania and Czechoslovakia.
Today, Hungary borders 7 countries: Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, and Ukraine.
Hungary has a population of 9.71 Million people and a GDP of 181,8 billion dollars.
It’s capital is Budapest, one of the four capital cities that Danube river flows through.
Although is a landlocked country, Hungary has the largest lake in central Europe.

Fun facts:

-Of those 4 capital cities that the Danube flows through, 3 was part of Hungary for most of its 1000 years old history, and Vienna was also held by Hungary for a while.

-Pozsony ("Bratislava") was the capital of Hungary for longer time than Budapest.

-The battle of Nándorfehérvár ("Belgrad") was one of the most important battles of Christianity's and Islam's fight. It was the gate to Hungary from the South. The pope ordered the gathering of a crusader army in its defense, and according the tradition, he ordered all churches around Europe to ring there bells during the fight to motivate the defenders. The Christian defenders won, and the traditions says that this is why they make a play of bells in every noon: in remembrance of the victory of Christian defenders against Muslim Ottoman invaders.

Defence was led by the "Turkish-beater" Hunyadi János, whose son, Mátyás, - among many other things he did - took Vienna and held it for a while. Even had his bastard son, "Corvin" János born from an Austrian woman.

Fun fact: you used the wrong flag for Asutria Hungary it didn’t actually have a flag and the one you used was only used on some trade boats during WW2 a better flag would have been the orange and black flag used to represent its monarch it got popular because some dude on Wikipedia saw the wrong flag in like 2006 and nobody changed it until some time past 2015
