I got really excited when I saw that you are in Marietta! But then I saw Ohio. 😔 I was hoping for Georgia. I've tried having mine stretched twice & the instep is still too tight. I love your process. I'll have to search in the Atlanta GA area for someone that can do this - I hope!!!

Unfortunately, we can not stretch the calf that much either.
It sounds like a gusset will be your best option.

Nice video! I have these quite expensive knee-high leather boots that I got as a gift in size 35.5 but I wear 37. I can put them on with some effort, length-wise they seem to fit (as in my big toe doesn't reach the tip) but they're veeeery tight both in my calves and around my toes (also it's hard to put them on without socks even! And they don't have a zipper). Is it possible to make them wearable for me? And will the leather still look good after stretched?

HI! Thanks! I visit Marietta a few times a year and was wondering if 3 inches at the top of the calf is too much to stretch a pair of leather boots. At 5 inches from the  top of my boots, the zipper will go no further and there are 3 inches at the top between zippers. I've had a shoe repair man tell me that is just too far to stretch them, which I understand, but I thought I would ask you. We also talked about adding a gusset, but I really don't want them cut into.  I just need more room from mid calf up. they are killer boots, lined in leather as well. I can't make out the brand name, I think it's Quarro?? It's written in cursive, so I'm not sure. Says made in Italy and has the vero cuoio stamp. I got REALLY lucky at my local Goodwill. Brand new, it seems. THANKS!!! I've looked into Boot Bands which may be my next step.
