In a fun, exciting talk, teenager Henry Lin looks at something unexpected in the sky: distant galaxy clusters. By studying the properties of the universe's largest pieces, says the Intel Science Fair award winner, we can learn quite a lot about scientific mysteries in our own world and galaxy.

man I can only hope private companies one day let you go to space or orbit for an affordable price before I die. I want to go to space so bad, I live in the wrong century :/

One thing that has intrigued me...the universe is expanding and it can be likened to a fruit cake baking in the oven....all the nuts and raisins etc are all moving away from each other as the cake expands.
So too are galaxies moving (accelerating) away from each other....yet the Hubble telescope has recorded numerous collisions between galaxies....that just boggles my be pretty crowded out there!

Has anyone ever thought that what we think of as galaxies is really misunderstood? I think I am onto something really big here so hear me out: What if outer space is really the Astral plane, the center of galaxies where the black holes are is really how gravity curves down to a solar/earth system at the center. When you think about what they say about space getting more compressed as you get closer to the black holes. What if each material existence is what is at the other side of the black hole. Spirits/ Souls are the stars that circle around the galaxies. And from our perspective into the astral plane this is all we can see. We will never discover other earth like planets because what we see in outer-space is not all of reality. Only what is between material existences.

We really should be looking into black holes more. As I believe these are the portals to other places like earth. (this might be hard to do though because light does not come out of the black holes, also this explains why others cannot see us, because when they look at our system, all they see is the gravity sucking the light down to earth, ie a black hole)

Henry seems like such a nice and sweet guy! The audience seemed very rude and could have been a bit more interested, especially since he spent his time on that to teach them..

Since everyone is wondering why the audience is filled with "10 year olds" and "uninterested high schoolers" its because if you didn't notice in the beginning of the video, it said "recorded at Ted Youth"... There you go, shut up :)
