I have 2 young sugartip of Sharon trees only a few feet tall and a young Fiji Rose of Sharon tree same size....should I still prune them?

I received them dormant over the winter and they were trimmed up pretty well on the tops of the sugar tips, probably not much to prune on them.... but the fiji tree has a lot of fine branches on its canopy, so should I give those a hair cut? :)
