The bar and library are gonna go wild when I drop this on them! 🎉

It's quite fascinating to watch Carlsen play. I mean, he seems to deliberately make suboptimal moves, almost as if he affords his opponents a head start, having an air of confidence that suggests he's simply seeking a bit of a challenge. It's like Usain Bolt allowing his opponents a 20m start, then sprinting past them. Looks like an absolute mockery these last Magnus games, he's on another level. The GOAT

Magnus likes these short formats because he can play these unusual moves which I think bring novelty to the chess which holds for him not many secrets anymore.

That's even more devastating for Ian. Yes, you've lost the game at move 28, but your opponent only had 26 moves... can't even wrap my head around it.

I am speechless after seeing the astonishing Queen move by Magnus, how the hell on earth a person can find that in such less time.

Magnus keeps on playing chess like an art of war. Literally ignoring norms and tradition. Elite Prodigy aging like a fine ass wine!

Magnus is the GOAT. That pause the video moment was an incredible puzzle. Thanks for this game, a masterpiece. In BULLET!

Agadmator: both these players played with incredible accuracy!
Magnus on turn 2: I’m about to end this man’s whole career…

"Your Majesty, I am going to move you to E5 in order to take the castle."
"What?! You're moving me to the front lines?"
"You're going to be bait."
"B-but you can't do that! I'm the king! This is blasphemy! This is madness!"
"This is chess."

Poor Ian, he always gets the premium Magnus.

I have long resisted calling Magnus the GOAT. But his play in short time formats is incredible, and it appears as though he has somehow transported himself to some new dimension of playing.

That really is something, winning as Black from 3 tempi down against Nepo, who did not blunder. Sometimes it almost looks like chess is just not a sufficiently challenging game for Magnus. All clichés aside, he really is that good.

Wow, that's a crazy pause-the-video move, especially for a bullet game. If I found that move after an hour of thinking I would be proud of myself.

He is the game, literally no one else plays like him. He is the Franz Liszt of chess.

*Anish to Nepo : Best trick is to offer a draw*
*Nepo : Thanks man*

This is probably the most beautiful defensive game I have ever seen. And how could he play such moves in bullet???

That Queen-move was so good. Magnus must have seen that a good deal ahead of time. It's so subtle, it doesn't even look like an attack or a defense at first glance, but it actually does both. Still the greatest in the world bar none.

Like watching Kasparov toying around with Nigel Short back in the day....absolutely leagues apart
