Recently, the Supreme Court has delivered a major verdict regarding sex workers’ rights and also given strict instructions to the police not to misbehave with them. Under Article 142, the apex court ordered the release of A.G. Perarivalan, a convict in the assassination case of former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi. 'Indo-Pacific Economic Framework' was unveiled by the US President which aims at strengthening the economic partnership between member countries in the Indo-Pacific region.

Coming to the Environment and ecology section, the Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh criticized the provisions of the Biological Diversity (Amendment) Bill, 2021. The Bill was introduced in Parliament in December 2021 and it is currently being reviewed by a Joint Parliamentary Committee.
