it’s a lot of trial and error, like A LOT, but Wow it is so satisfying beating a boss you’ve been struggling with. istg even tho i finally managed to get a little past Theseus and Asterius, their boss fight is still the bane of my existence LMAO

honestly i hold the firm opinion that if a game isn't fun because it's too hard, you're allowed to make it easier for yourself. Hades gives you god mode for that!!! it shouldn't feel tedious i think. i beat the game all the way to epilogue in god mode before i did the same with it turned off and now i'm working my way toward 32 heat!!! do whatever is fun

This game feels like that. But I ended up ragequitting when I used all my resources to beat Hades and then he pulled out the self revive.

I remember when I first fought Meg and after her health bar was half empty she started making these circles like it wasn't hard enough for me lol
now I can beat her in my sleep, I LOVE learning enemies' patterns and ways to beat them

I refuse to play in god mode, and it took me 73 runs to beat hades the first time. However ive played it so much that i am now actually goated at the game lmao

That's the fun thing about games like Hades, it teaches you how to be better

PSA: The game does literally nothing in response to using God Mode. No restrictions to gameplay or achievements, and no snide remarks in the NPC dialogue. So yeah, feel free to use if it becomes too much of a frustrating struggle. 👍

However, also remember that the game is designed around doing lots and lots of runs - like the many long dialogue threads that require you to run and return to continue. I actually disabled god mode and upped enemy damage to increase the turnover. :P

if you think about it like, every attempt is another chance to see your loved ones, then it's really not so bad. I finally beat hades on my 48th run and now my new order of business is supplying absolutely everyone with nectar until I reach the lock, then to figure out how to get past the locked im sure itll take another 15 attempts to figure it out lol
