Another thing you all could have noticed: The way like Richard Wright (a brilliant keyboard/piano player and musician) was looking to David in various moments of various recorded videos... He really was enjoying and admiring the ability and gifts of his friend - and also they all have done too.

I never appreciated the importance of *touch* in guitar playing until I took it up myself. It is one of the hardest things to master. Playing lots of notes fast is a piece of cake, compared to playing ONE note amazingly well. There is something unique in David's fingers and their connection to his brain - they are like vocal cords, with all the expression and control of a human singing voice. That's what makes him so special and one of the greats.

My first exposure to Floyd was the album Meddle in 1971. I was immediately blown away by Echoes. What a great start to a journey of listening to Gilmour's guitar masterpieces for years afterwards. There are a lot of amazing guitarists, but for me, no one compares to Mr. Gilmour.

The penultimate clip is from Pink Floyd's 1994 show at the New Orleans Superdome. I was there for this concert. "Comfortably Numb" was the final song they played. One of the greatest performances I've ever had the privilege to be a part of.
