Tallinn Christmas Market offers coziness and delight to everybody. Due to its historical location in the old town, it is very popular travel destination for lots of tourists and locals every year.
The market is held annually on the Town Hall Square, which is surrounded by centuries-old buildings.

The highlight
of the market is the Christmas tree, which is the most important Christmas tree in Estonia and has been set up in Town Hall Square since 1441, making it the first Christmas tree ever to be put on display in Europe.

The Town Hall Square is decorated with trees, Christmas decorations, and Christmas lights. Local merchants are offering Estonian Christmas cuisine, from black pudding and sour cabbage to gingerbread and hot Christmas drinks. Various handicrafts are also sold at the market. Our younger Children can enjoy merry-go-rounds and there is always a diverse Christmas programme.

In 2019 The European Best Destinations elected Tallinn Christmas Market the best Christmas Market in Europe!

At the heart of Tallinn’s Old Town, located next to the historic St Nicholas’ Church, there is an old town ice skating rink. It opens at the beginning of December and closes in early April when the warm sunshine arrives. This seasonal rink is loved by tourists and by locals too. The ice rink has a historical atmosphere which gives visitors a feeling that probably cannot be compared to anything else
The rink offers cozy lighting, entertaining music and a warm café. For only 9 € for adults and 7 € for children an unforgettable skating experience is guaranteed.

This year I decided to capture that beauty with my drone.
