Awesome movie Fede Alvarez!

Having seen all the films in the series, and after watching this film for me it is a SOLID 8 out of 10.

It's not perfect, but it does the job well. It fulfills the goal of being an entertaining alien movie, and it achieves that EASILY.

BTW it's looks great! it has an awesome cinematography. It should be seen on the largest screen possible with great speakers.

And although some dispute the final part, that was the part that I liked the most since it is where Álvarez's touch is most visible.

I want to see it again! Especially for THAT final part.

This is my 4th favourite
I like Ripley trilogy
But i really enjoy this film. I had a few initial problems but the positive far outway the negatives and i can totally c what fede was trying to make. A film for us all and i really appreciated that.
The film making is excellent so who ever says otherwise is in denial

What Romulus does well it does really damn well. Álvarez was the perfect guy for the job, it's been almost 40 years of interesting but ultimately dour misfires. At this stage in the game, we're lucky to have someone on his level care. What we needed was not fan service but something standalone that brought us back into the world and atmosphere of the earlier films without falling on it's face, with cosmic dread, mystique, and tactility in almost every frame. Romulus delivered that.

I'm very excited for what he can do in a sequel, with far fewer callbacks - which were occasionally hit (like the drop ship going UP) and miss in Romulus (deep fake you know who, in an otherwise stunning film) .. but never totally cynical in their execution, just a little misguided.

James Cameron took away everything that made the alien dangerous that Ridley Scott worked so hard for. They turned the Alien into a lesser version of itself that could be squished like an ant on a sidewalk

The runtime for this movie should have been 2H 15 Mins. Alien Romulus is an Entertaining movie but felt very rush. No breathing space, so to speak..

It would be cool to see the characters plan their strategies to escape and have abit of a downtime.
