Stability: ASV vs Competitive Loaders

Показать описание
Slopes are an area you want your compact track loader to use its extra traction to excel. But other factors also come into play - particularly the machine’s balance and stability. ASV machines are designed to easily handle working on slopes without time-wasting techniques like filling your bucket with dirt or dangerous ones like backing uphill.

Have ran them all. The asv balance is spot on. They will go where the others simply cannot. The ride is beyond being comfortable, will mean a lot more productivity with the asv. Great machines!

I like how the drivers for this video drop the speed of the upper track to get it to dig out on side slopes . I’ve driven about every skid steer on this video and haven’t had issues with a small incline like this or dig out on small side slopes either.

I have been in business 25 years I’m a contractor and Takeuchi is like a really amazing machine and works on Streep’s slopes and hills

I have spent countless hours in ASV machines. Hands down the best comfort & maneuverability on the market I spend less time trying to make the machine do what I want. Less time on the struggle buss is more cash in my pocket when the job is done. Keep it up ASV!!

I had the opportunity of running a CAT 257D, ASV RT-70 and RT-75 on my own property all with a 72" brush cutter and bucket for a few days. The RT-70 felt very under powered give its size, had trouble turning in 180 or 360 degrees. Given the 70 was a similar weight class as the 257D the CAT smoked it. My dealer came and dropped off a 75 a week later and it was worlds better than the 70. It is a good bit larger than the CAT 257D, but both models had similar HP and the ASV had a better flow rate. The 75 and 257 are both great machines, both had pros and cons, and came with good options, I would have been very happy with either machine. At the end of the day I went with the CAT because believe it or not it was about $5500 cheaper than the 75 with similar options. Since ASV separated from Terex they have been turning out great products!

You can clearly see in the cat bucket when going up the slope and there is no dirt in the bucket. Not a full load like you claimed

That operator purposely went out of his way to bury that skid steer 😆🤣

Looks to me like they used narrower tracks on all the other machines. Not a fair comparison if they did.

It would have been nice if you compared the same track style AND THE SAME WEIGHT CLASS! I’ve ran asvs I’ve graded some pretty steep slopes with my cat 257 and not had that issue

It is the operator. I have been doing grading 16 yrs. At least 7yrs in skid loaders everyday . There design is flawed with the tracks& rollers. The plastic rollers get jammed up with debris, like all do. But the plastic melts, you will smell it. Then it will go rolling by. Of course then down time. Also the tracks have rubber nipples which pop off . Leaving dead areas ( sucks on turning to one side to work ) In 3yrs of using cat skids with AVS track systems. I never worn out a track. Nipples came off and track were useless with 60% tread left. I can't speak for the machine ( brand ) it's self because we never bought any due to the tracks. Also just to put it out there. The gear drive has rollers, not teeth to lock into the tracks. Very squeaky, slip when under a load ( which pops the nipples ) . Maybe they are a awesome balanced machine . But useless if it will not move. Redesign your tracks & drive system.. And maybe y'all will have the best skid loader .
P.S. we had 4 cats with there system. All brand new, plastic on the seats around 2010 to 2012 models. The company is pretty loyal to the brand. But will try others. After 3 yrs struggling with rollers & tracks . they finely sold them and we have not had a roller fall off since. Nor a track replacement before it's time. Just a operator's 2 cents.

Um I dont know. I still like Cat and Bobcat better. But if I had to choose one, then I would have to go with Cat.

Any one else realize that the asv always had dirt in the bucket the others didn't

Yeah in most of those. Bobcats the operators did not hav the bucket down low for better traction operators mistake

That’s why caterpillar made a mutilterrain loader which is a skid steer with tracks like the one the asv has and a compact track loader with the regular tracks it has in this video
