I think the observation that the food at the controls is very good is really a key comment. In 2007 I was wary of the food in the controls and this wariness really screwed me up. I thought I wouldn't find anything to my tastes and was really picky and as a result did not eat enough by half. I tried to spot stores along the route like I was used to in the US, and that just does not work at all well enough. In 2011, I decided that if I could find one thing at each control that I liked I'd eat a lot of that and as a result of that resolution I found a great deal that I loved. My memory of 2011 was that I ate wonderfully at the controls, and in 2015 I had no qualms about finding food to my tastes. Another point is that some small towns may have food booths set up in the main square. Don't pass all of those by! Sometimes stopping at these spots, or any of the places where locals offer food really enhances your enjoyment and experience. This point can't be made strongly enough. I recall in 2011 one spot on the 3rd night along a really long climb that a few people had set up an impromptu food stop and offered hot chocolate. One man spoke english there and I recall the experience as being one where someone was very much focused on helping me through the night by offering a warm drink and conversation.

Just watched all your PBP tips vids in a row. They're excellent, thanks. You should make a playlist for them.

Ahhh all the way up to date with your series of videos, great work.

Just a small pointer, you should have surely ended the video with Bon Appetite... an oversight on your part there 😜👍
