Both China and Russia have long sought to position the SCO as an alternative to the western multilateral groups, they could possibly be closer to this aim now than ever before.

Although India consider Russia to be a partner in oil, fertilizers and defence, China as a partner strategically doesn't sit well in this equation for India. And Russia n Ukraine are unnecessarily dragging this "special operation", whole world supply chain has been disrupted, be it oil or food grain or fertilizers, what is Putin n Zelensky thinking will be the end game? Only poor countries and their citizens are the real losers.
