***DISCLAIMER***
These lessons are based from the Minna No Nihongo Textbook (1st edition), which I chose because I’m familiar with it. But even if you don’t have the textbook, you can still follow along the lessons by just watching the video.

I'm not a native Japanese speaker nor am I a Japanese language teacher. I'm currently living in Japan and I use Japanese at work and daily life. I’m sharing what I’ve learned from my language school and through self-study. I’ve passed the JLPT N3 exam and am planning to take the JLPT N2 test in the future. So if you find any mistakes, feel free to let know so that we can all learn together. Thank you!

Thank you for the lesson! One question: If のります uses に, why is it しんかんせんをのったことがありますか?

In 8:02 is it correct if we use "ni" instead of "wo" ? (Shinkansen ni notta....)

Your videos are just brilliant. Thank you so much!

I have one question in regards to "Have you ever ridden a bullet train?"

Your translation is: しんかんせん を のったこと がありますか。

In the book, verbs like 乗る or 上る are taught with the に particle. Would both be considered correct in an exam setting? Or is を more natural when talking to other people, but grammatically incorrect for the JLPT? Or maybe we can only naturally use を with this verbs when talking about past experiences?

Japanese and the particles... 🥲

Amazingly well explained. Thank you so much!

質問があります! I recall from a few lessons ago that 乗る goes with the particle「に」, but why is the statement "Have you ever ridden a bullet train?" 「しんかんせんをのったことがありますか」instead of「しんかんせんに乗ったことがありますか」?

In past participle negative we can do (V nakatta koto ga arimasu ) instead of Vta ko ga arimesen right?

Great videos, thx. ..but I'm wondering if ふじさんをのぼった should not rather be ふじさんにのぼった as in the Minna no nihongo textbook .
