FILM DESCRIPTION:
Daniel (Ralph Macchio) moves to Southern California with his mother, Lucille (Randee Heller), but quickly finds himself the target of a group of bullies who study karate at the Cobra Kai dojo. Fortunately, Daniel befriends Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki "Pat" Morita), an unassuming repairman who just happens to be a martial arts master himself. Miyagi takes Daniel under his wing, training him in a more compassionate form of karate and preparing him to compete against the brutal Cobra Kai.

Such an iconic scene, I always think of Daniel practicing the Crane Kick at the beach, and the glorious sunset!

This is great transition moment after Miyagi passes out and Daniel realizes what Mr. Miyagi has gone through, and after the whole time he was trying to teach him lessons and Daniel fought back on everything, in this moment he realizes that he has to take control of his own destiny and dedicate the time to getting better. Great directing, storytelling and acting. So many teachable moments in this movie from Teacher to Student.

this movie was so magical to me as a kid in the 80s..especailly being a kid bullied through my early years of school..to see Daniel overcome it all gave me hope...and the music in this movie was so inspiring..

I love how Pat Morita used the insult "you some kind of girl or something" and then 10 years and three movies later we meet Julie Pierce the first lady of Miyagi do karate and she actually kicks harder then Daniel punches before any training even comes into play
