I know its been said a bunch of times here but no one ever explains Pi and now it makes so much more sense! This was a really well done video. The demonstrations were so clear since the numbers would update as you moved the lines. Thats a step up from most videos i've seen and I really appreciated it :)

this is a video from 8 years ago—exactly 8 years ago, to the day—and it helped me understand trigonometry of angles in rotation more than anything my teacher has taught me. i have a test tomorrow and this video just saved me from hours of confusion and a much lower grade than i would like. thank you for making this so easy to understand.

Definitely helpful. There's a lot to the unit circle.
I've been studying and drawing the unit circle for many years being a retired electrician.
It's a great tool for conduit bending and basic multiplications .
Learning the angle/length ratios, 3, 6, 9 multiples and the 30 -60-90 triangle along with the 45-45-90 were necessary because they were common formulas used when bending conduit.
The unit circle is really helpful in so many different ways .
Thanks for taking the time to share your techniques for learning the unit circle.

ProductionBandit Thanks for watching the video and commenting. The Tan(30) is indeed √3 / 3 Here's why. Review the 30-60-90 triangle. The sides are 1, 2,  √3. Since tangent is defined as the opposite angle over the adjacent angle, that would be 1/√3. For various reasons* society does not write rational numbers with radicals in the denominator, so, 1/√3 is re-written as √3/3, they calculate to the same thing, approx .5773502...  * radicals in the denominator are impossible to do on a slide rule.
