As someone who deals with chronic illnesses, I personally feel and see the heroic things that our healthcare staff does on a regular basis. The last couple of years has been especially testy for my health (due to a misdiagnosis then non treatment for it) and I have had more than a few times that my husband was told it wasn't looking good and to "prepare" himself. Thankfully, I have had amazing doctors, nurses, patient techs, physical therapist, home healthcare professionals, etc that have not given up on me (my amazing hubby too since he has nursed me and helped to get and keep me home as much as possible). I will be 43 tomorrow, so I still have more life to live and more Shinedown shows to go to. 😁 Without those amazing folks, my life would of been drastically different and I may not even be here for it, so THANK YOU for all you do!

Thank you! As a nurse, it’s not easy. We have things in our own lives going on and then, for 8, 10 or 12+ hrs a day, we take on what our patients have going on. It hard not to bring it home to our families. I have yet to meet one who does the job for the power or the glory.
