my dad introduced me to shinedown when i was very young, like fresh out of the womb, im now 15 turning 16 in march, my father passed away on oct 12, 2021 from and overdose on meth and fentanyl, my family met you in concert one time and i wanted to let y’all know how much you helped him through his bipolar disorder and depression. i will never stop listening to you guys, you’ve given me the strength i needed to still be here after his passing. thank you so much brent, eric, zach, and barry. much love to all of you and your families, keep doing what you do best!

I'm almost 60 and have been a country and southern rock fan for most of my life. When I heard Shinedown's cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Simple Man, I instantly became a fan. What a great job they did. I took an interest to their music after hearing that song and I'm very happy I did. It turned me on to a whole new world of music. What a great vocalist Brent is and a wonderful band they are. There's so much meaning to the lyrics in their songs. I'm grateful for their music!!

Shinedown you play this song every concert and you dont realize it is about me and my late husband Kevin. You see I used to play him November Rain on piano. And he loved it. I was his Ms. November Rain and you see he died in a house fire. And there were no alarms in that old trailor we lived in. And I lost my mind. I felt like I had lost my best friend. But Jesus picked me up out of that sorrow and I know Kevin is in a wonderful place. And yeah ship of fools was one of my faviorte doors songs. And we are all just passing thru till we either give our heart to Jesus or not. Then its one place or the other Hell or Heaven we all have a choice. Thank you Shinedown and thank you Jesus Christ for being the love of my life.

I was first introduced to Shinedown with "Unity". Nowadays, my life is really challenging. I am trying so hard and feeling like I'm getting nowhere. I heard this song for the first time at exactly the right time. I can't fully express how much it means to me. It's that encouragement and understanding I so need right now. I wonder if artists really grasp the power they have to help heal the human spirit. Thank you.
