BTW in Egypt it is a tradition to feed the poor for free at sun-set (aka al-maghrib for my Muslim brothers) and it isn't just like cheap food, the entire community helps and the poor gets fed what they normally eat

Edit: also other popular desserts I highly recommend you to try are basbosa and om-ali

I suggest that you try Shabakiyah. It's a Moroccan sweet that is made of dough into a pretty shape, fried, and coated in honey. It's so good

In Pakistan we eat pakora and it can be filled with multiple things we also drink ru'hafza aka rose syrup and it is amazing
