You could do this as mentalism trick. When you do the Klondike shuffle, count the number of cards since you are putting down 2 cards at a time (plus sometimes 1 more). Subtract this number (#) from 52. The resulting number is the number of cards (##) from the top of the deck where the selected card is. It is also the number cards the spec cut. Tell spec to think of his card and you will watch his face. Start turning the cards face up 1 at a time. When get to number say this is your card. Then say when you spend a lot of time with numbers and cards your hands get a certain feel for the cards. Put your hand on top of the cards cut to and say it feels like there are (##) of cards. Have spec count the cards.
