I’ve been primarily a constructivist. I believe strongly that students should build up their own knowledge base and incorporate their own experiences into what they’re learning. Usually in my social studies classroom I draw upon inquiry base learning and a lot of primary and secondary source activities and I also do a lot of web quests. I also believe strongly that literacy and social studies go hand-in-hand. So a lot of my social studies teaching is a blend of literacy and social studies. I have my students go over literacy strategies all the time.

I immediately purchased the kindle version of the book while watching this. I noticed that Constructionist and Behaviorist were not listed with the five listed. This video expands on these Main Philosophies. Will you do a revision on the book for these other philosophies?

These seem like techne and not a philosophy. If you think deeply and hold a deeply understood philosophy of education you're going to butt up against and resist much of what schools do.
