Today we will look at how to set up the Wyze Docker Bridge. This Docker container will allow you to output the video stream from MOST Wyze Cams and put it into RTSP, RTMP, or HLS. Meaning you can put your video into almost any application or NVR! The best part is it can be run right from Home Assistant.

So check out my easy to follow walkthrough on installation, configuration, and adding to Home Assistant.

This video was fantastic. I am so thrilled I can setup my cams without flashing the firmware... Worked perfectly!

I've been using a Wyze Bridge Docker container for 6 months now and it's rock solid with my 4 cameras. Before that I used the TinyCam solution on an old Android phone and it was super flakey. Great video.

This video is awesome. I am so thrilled I can now setup my cams without flashing the firmware after multiple fails!

Worked great! Thanks for the step-by-step instructions. I got my three Wyze cams running perfectly.

This was a game-changer. While I don't necessarily have an NVR now, this was something I really wanted to have in my HA instance. Being able to view Wyze cams like Ring, in HA, makes for a great almost-security-system.

Thanks!

Great video! Enabling the RECORD_ALL option in the bridge also saves the video streams in 60sec segments to /media/wyze/cam-name which can be accessed through HA's Media/Local Media menu.

If you run docker + this conversion tool on a home PC, how much CPU and RAM is it actually going to use up? seems like it might not be a good choice on a home PC where resources are already taxed.

Finally something that works for my Wyze chicken coop camera. Thanks dude. I’m having trouble doing the generic camera integration. I’m not home to mess with it locally, the shows up on the docker part. Thanks again for the awesome video.

Update: I was using my nabu casa address for the generic cam. I went back and watched the video again, and I need to use my HA IP address not the camera IP.

Is this still the best way to integrate wise cameras with home assistant?

Hi, one Q, the Wyze cam have a motion sensor, how can I configure to use it?😊

Any idea why I can’t add an RSTP feed to generic camera? It tells me that it just times out.

What UI are you using. I have my Wyze cameras showing in HA but no option to stream, only options are yo control power, motion detection etc.

Thank you! This is awesome. Wish I would have known this before flashing to the rtsp lol

Wow this works great! One question... I'm worried about CPU performance impact (running a RP4/8GB). Is there a way to not include ALL of the cameras on your Wyze account? I have 8 cameras but really only want 3-4 inside HA. Thanks!

This is exactly what I have been looking for to consolidate the proprietary Wyze streams into a standard RTSP server for connecting off-the-shelf viewer apps. My problem is that I got as far as installing Docker for Windows and adding the mrlt8 container, but running it has thrown all types of errors that I am lost to resolve. I have no experience with Linux or containers. Is there an ELI5 somewhere with baby steps for getting the container to work in Docker for Windows?
