Wrestling is pretty much non existent in the UK 🇬🇧 Your channel is a great insight into a sport most of us have never had the chance to do

Nice! As a former D1 wrestler (30+ years ago 😊), I have this debate with my son’s high school coach. He is adamant about not reaching out with the front leg side. I showed him videos of both Kyle Snyder and Gable Stevenson doing it regularly (even coaching it).
I tell my kid to listen to his coach and I don’t contradict directly but each time I see high level guys doing it (like you in this video), I realize that it is very effective.

This tactic works well in striking styles too, and is a key aspect of sword fighting actually

I like how you explain and delve into concepts and not just isolated techniques. Great stuff as always!

Loved the video, man - does Wrestling U offer any content as far as drills/exercises to work on when training without a partner? I'm 31, used to grapple and wrestle a big over a decade ago, and still in great shape, but I am just now starting to get back into grappling. Anywhere you could point me? Just subscribed to your patreon, btw.

Great videos man. My wrestling coach was just going over this a few weeks ago but I had no idea it wasn't normal practice. Most of my experience is in boxing but I found it very similar to feinting in boxing to get a reaction/draw your opponents guard up or down to create an opening.

Big fan, what do you think of old tradition of teaching not reaching with lead hand because it leaves open for lead leg attack?
