Is your two stroke bike bogging ? Let's inspect the carburetor and make sure that the carburetor is within it's factory settings.

We start off with ensuring the jetting is correct ( 115 main jet and a 48 pilot jet) then let's go ahead and check float height as well as inspect for wear and tear on the needle.

Two stroke motors can bog for many reasons but this is a good way to get a starting point with your new (to you) but old bike.

another way to check if float if sitting properly is to line up the seem of the float to the edge of the carburetor where the bowl attaches to the carb

My aprilia rs 125 2001 boggs all way to 8k then is fine when the band kicks in. Could this also be the float. I have replaced a damaged idle emulsion tube and cleaned carb but didn't know about float

Just one question. My scooter 50cc 2t just bogs when the engine is cold when its get warm like 1 minut runing its fine. Whats the basic think to cause that? And i didnt meniton its starts good its idling godd but like i said when the engine is cold its when you give a litl throtle and runing 1 minuts its not boging.

Hey man Im just wondering if you can help me solve this issue I’ve been having on my 50cc motorized bicycle:

Bike starts but will not stay running for more than a minute at idle, and will bog down and die out even quicker than that if I try to ride it.

I took off the carburetor, and cleaned it. I replaced the spark plug, CDI, magneto, fuel tank, throttle cable and killswitch assembly. (Not at the same time, one by one) The bike seemed to be great for about 2 minutes and then started experiencing the exact same problems.

Notable occurrences:
-the bike sat for the whole winter in the shed which is not climate controlled.
-when I pulled it out of the shed, I decided to try my luck at riding it as is (bad gas and all), and to my surprise it ran pretty decently. Only after about 15 minutes of riding did the bike start experiencing these issues.
-the gaskets are in rough shape, especially the one on the crank case (magneto case)
-when I leave the fuel valve on for about 30 seconds and prime the bike, it starts right up and wants to go, but will die 30 seconds later every time without fail.

The last point leads me to believe the issue has something to do with fuel but what the hell could it be? I’m grasping at straws here as you can tell from me commenting on a random persons video.

Hey man, idk if you'll reply on such an old vid but guess it's worth a try. I've got an old 50cc 2 stroke (suzuki fz50) and it runs perfect on straights and only struggles a little up hill but once its warm it bogs and cuts out every time I stop like at traffic lights and then when it starts again it sounds really strange for a couple seconds until something seems to click and it runs fine again. I'm getting good spark and compression, any ideas?
