I was born 9 years after Super Mario World was released. After discovering my parents' old console, Super Mario World was the first game I ever beat at around age 8. To this day the final boss still gives me goosebumps.

I was born in 1979, so Mario has been a part of my life since I was very young. I still think Super Mario World is my favorite showdown with Bowser. The music is so fun and I just love how innovative it was to have the Clown Car fly into the screen was wild back in the day. The SNES was such an amazing system. Peak Nintendo.
