Burglar Proofing Your Doors- $2 and 2 Minutes

Residential doors have cheap, flimsy frames that are easily kicked in by burglars. By just replacing the original short screws with longer 3 or 3 1/2 inch long screws makes it almost impossible to kick in your door.
The longer screws will anchor the door frame to the house's framing lumber, and will secure it in place pretty much permanently.
This is also easy and discreetish to do to an apartment.
Make sure you also do 1 or 2 screws from each hings as well.
To go all out- use 2inch long screws to replace the short screws on the plates of the locks (inside the door jamb, facing the other plate/screws where the 3in screws went)
