I saw Paul Gilbert with Eric Johnson and Mark Stern do a super long jam. it was amazing. He was a guest at Eric Johnson and mark Stern when they were on tour.

Ah this is the Paul Gilbert Spaceship version - the original Racer X version was more sweepy

Finally, a guitar with a rosewood board (besides your Gibby). I like it, Strats look correct with maple back / rosewood board.

when string skipping like this, sometimes it's hard to mute, especially when ascending. So when playing this particular lick, it helps if I pick every note. it sounds very aggressive and I don't always want that. sometimes I want the smoother legato sound. advice anyone? please?

I bought you HEAVILY discounted course last night. I keep looking for the "like" button when I watch the vids. Force of habit I guess.

I think if Robert called Paul to make a video about what he does and how he does it, Paul is so cool and nice he would probably says "Yeah sure, LEt'S DO IT! ROCK N ROLL!"
There is a lick from Paul from his solo on the "Raw like Sushi 2" in 92 i still wanna learn and i never met a teacher able to teach it to me after all this time.
Love that red on that guitar with matching headstock.
Are those EMG's PUs some retro active Fat 55 or something? This neck PU sounds good.

Hi robert, i was wondering if you have any semi acoustics, for example an es 335, and what you would recommend for a beginner with a budget of $500 Thanks!

Can you do the intro from the live spaceship video version of scarified? I’ve always wanted to learn that one, it’s an ascending F minor arpeggio.

Robert Love the your videos but there is something lacking in the guitar youtube world and I think you could be the best man for the job. You have to know that most of us don't have the awesome gear that you worked so hard to get and proudly display in your videos. What I would love to see is you can call it " get the most out of your rigs", "your rigs in my hands", or "It is the player not your rig". So got 1 1/2 years I started at 44 but I have a lot of time to practice and just once I would like to see what someone like you can do with well my set up. I have MIM Fender Strat deluxe with antique noiseless pickups, 2 point bridge antique saddles push push button and locking tuners. I have a Boss Katana 50 watt amp that can hook into a computer I also have 2 other middle of the road guitars and that it. That is just what I got set up and I would say most people watching have the same kind of set ups put your guitar and amp in the place of mine. A lot of us don't have the nice stacks and other things that I don't know about do to money and where everyone that seeks information in their guitar journey. I have made this a mess you work with these companies ask for the best selling guitars and amps and start there no pedals. It is late am I on something or am I on something I may be wrong but I think most of your viewers have sliver skies and other guitars over the $2000. I got 3 guitars and an amp for just under or about $2000 my fender being the most. Anyway something like that I love watching all you guys on youtube but it would be nice to see a video with out seeing guitars amps and rigs that are just so over the top. I never had anyone give me a guitar I had to work hard for what I got and my MIM fender Strat deluxe with the push push is my PRS musicman custom shop whatever....

maybe it's cause I'm 50ish, but don't really care for Gilbert n his "schitzophrenic playing" - go back n listen to Dave Mustane
