As experiment I've run duplex hives as two colonies. They're side by side 4 over 4. 8 deep frames can support a colony. They make honey too. They share supers and dont fight. Might have to do all my hives that way because it works. At first it was nucs that got too big too quickly but after the success I've been trying it more. It makes a lot of things easier for an old beek.

A question? because they make the decision to use a six-frame hive (double super) and not one of five or four like the Plamer system. Thank you very much for your time and information. Greetings from Argentina

Now that is slick... I was wondering why 6 frame .. also wondered how you kept them from out growing the box .... they looked super strong ... then I wondered why you didn't use them for honey production.. that's pretty good idea ... there thanks for sharing great stuff

Do they requeen? If a queen in one nuc dies the pheromone of the queen next to them will be strong enough to make them believe the queen is still there.

So because you put honey supers on top of the double deep nucs, they don't store honey in the brood chamber?

Three different colonies. How do you prevent zqrqr from giving each other zqrqr when you put the main grill and place the honeycombs. Do you use perfume, fragrance, etc. beforehand

Can the queen excluder be place between boxes stacked vertically .? Like a double deep.?

Do you have trouble with the bees picking the stronger Queen and killing other or even others very often? I tried it over each other couple times and they always kill top Queen, this is way better their working together better but does this happen still alot ?
