After using Minis since 2013 I recently bought a regular iPad. While I love the Mini, I often found myself often packing both my iPad and a laptop on trips. When traveling less is more, so I got a keyboard case for the Mini to see if I could use it as a lap top. It kind of work, but the crowded keyboard and a lack of a mouse made it hard to type of edit videos . I traded it in for the regular lol at iPad, added a cheap Artek keyboard/trackpad case and now I’m good to go. I can leave my bulky laptop at home.

I use the mini everyday for work as a server taking orders. I use it to sign documents for email. I use it to show off my artwork to people and photos. I use it to practice drawing. But I also have a 13 inch ipad air to do more serious art on. The mini is also great for in car navigation. I would def recommend the mini in 5g while bigger ipads I'd just recommend wifi. I would overall say I use the mini significantly more than any other ipads i've owned and I've had a lot of ipads over the years.

If you have a mac and plan to use the ipad and mac combo (extend display to ipad) then i think its better to choose ipad 11 because you need a bigger screen to share your mac display on the ipad

Eventhough it is not a huge point one should mention that the Mini has the AI staff, while the 11 does not have it, might be a buying argument in either direction.
