the GK61 is probably the gateway drug to custom keyboards

ew no it needs to have an anodized case with brass weights, weighing at LEAST 20 pounds, without the weight and 40 pounds with the weight, it also needs a brass plate too, and it needs super duper hyperlubed holy panda switches with custom made housings that you have to order 2 years in advance and get every single keycap as an artisan for it to even be CONSIDERED MILDLY a keyboard

Keyboards are the one hobby where you can actually hear what money sounds like

I'm going to build one just like this, and it's really nice to have pretty much a complete tutorial on how to do it. Your channel is awesome btw

"An old toothbrush that I *haven't* used"

Does Hamaji just have a drawer full of unused toothbrushes?

This video is what REALLY got me into custom keyboards. I have literally been watching everyday before going to bed in anticipation for when my keyboard parts finally arrive. Thanks Hamaji Neo :)

This was in my recommended 10 minutes after upload, that's pretty sick.

It's really rare that a youtuber starts making a new type of content and I still enjoy it but hamaji has managed to do it :D

This is perfect and i love that it's right in the budget i was looking at. I couldn't find any videos where the board looked any good so this was great. Thank you! I'm hoping to use the keyboard i build with my first proper gaming pc. Though i may go for a more budget option of a prebuilt that has hotswap optical and use spray lube on the switches for a budget great feel. Idrk tho

*edit* i just had my birthday and i got a lot of cash for it, so i’m actually half way to getting my pc setup- i’m super excited

How is your accent a fuse between British and American.

i love how in the prebuilt keyboard community this would be a hella expensive keyboard, but in the custom keyboard community this is hella cheap lmao

You know the video is good when he says: "hey everyone, my name is hamaji neo"

From tf2 youtuber, to variety gaming youtuber to keyboard youtuber :D

I actually really enjoy watching these new videos, something you dont see too often and these videos are very calming to watch. Might need to get myself a new keyboard :D

I’m not sure if you’ll ever see this comment, but when it comes to plate mount stabilizers and them rattling because of them not fitting well with the plate, you can always add a little bit of fabric tape around the stabilizer hole in order to make them stop wiggling in place. You can take a look at 3ildcat and his modifications to off-shelf keyboards. I do it as well—have a few vids myself giving stock keyboards a facelift.

I recommend buying a prebuilt keyboard and slowly upgrading it over time. I got a smartDuck XS84 75% keyboard for 50 dollars. Fully RGB and it came with outemu reds. Very nice sounding stock. I put foam in it, planning on lubing the outemu reds or maybe upgrading them to a tactile.
