Rewatching this after the drama, I still am only seeing someone who's done their research, and encourages others to do their own, showing how you did it. Having lived in a country where these live in the wild, can confirm, they do live in colonies in the wild (under the plant pots on my balcony)

I am so glad you didnt take this video down after posting the second one! I respect that you spoke up about your experience keeping these guys in a "controversial" way! You do a great job at emphasizing that no everyone can do this or should as well as making it clear how much experience you have keeping geckos PERIOD before you did an enclosure like this. I was waiting to comment until after i saw if your got any backlash (which i think everyone saw coming) but at the same time you even stated in this video that you knew there would be! I got horrible backlash from an admin in a FB group for saying that i used a heat pad under my tank in the winter for supplimental heat. This discouraged me from even bothering to share my beautiful bioactive tank because I know if I mention anything someone doesnt like ill get publicly shamed & criticized by strangers who have never met me or seen my husbandry. Just because its not recommended for NEW KEEPERS doesnt mean it CANT be done by EXPERIENCED ones.

My 4 year old asked for Diamond. I told him Diamond is the one holding the camera 😂

I landed here out of curiosity of all the recent fuss but as a Leo Breeder; this video was done very responsibly and the word choice and MULTIPLE disclaimers make it very clear what is going on. Carry on, Adam.

It might be a stupid question but aren’t you stressed about bringing harmful parasites/bugs on or inside the wood? I would like some big pieces for my corn but I’m afraid because they don’t fit in the oven or somewhere to boil them.

Could Keep a green anole with a pair of mourning gecko and 4 dart frogs in tank together, if so what size tank. And what species of dart frogs.

CAN CONFIRM, water would definitely leak out from that. I have 2 of their enclosures and one of them I messed up my initial silicone seal and it ruined my shelf I kept it on. I did later seal it completely and it's held up great since then, but definitely do a water test if you're going this route before you set everything up. Absolutely recommend their enclosures for their price and quality, but if your goal is to go bioactive make sure you set everything up well.

I have an older model of this enclosure. When my ball Python decides use her water bowl for climbing and spills it everywhere we have noticed small leaks along the front. Nothing a little silicone won’t fix. For the price you can’t beat these.

I have 3 of the Dubia enclosures (here in US) and I absolutely love them. For the last ones I have received (and for all future) I have taken pond liner sealer and spread out a thin layer on the bottom and sides a few inches. And it makes them completely water tight. Plus the fact that they're stackable! Totally worth the money in my eyes and I have 0 regrets about the purchases. My only peeve about them is when they are stacked its harder to get lights on the top. Love the vids man

I use a 4x2x2 enclosure for ONE of my leopard geckos couldn’t imagine adding one more let alone 5 more in the tank. If it was a HUGE MASSIVE enclosure that’s one thing but 6 in a 4x2x2 wayyy too much. I have 8 reptiles and every one of them are in their own 4x2x2 enclosures.

You inspired me to get my first crested gecko! Thanks Adam and to think I didn’t even like reptiles before this channel

It’s not about the fact you’ve never had anything happen, it’s the fact you haven’t had anything happen YET!
These animals don’t live like this naturally, so even if they’re doing “fine” it’s not natural, they’re NOT a communal species and you’re forcing them to be.
*also I’d like to add I’m pretty appalled at the size of those tubs for the geckos in the background… sad sad sad

Absolutely love your channel! I use to be afraid of snakes and now thanks to you, I can’t wait to be able to care for one!

I ended up with one of these in a 4x2x12 from my local pet store. All my other enclosures are blackbox or focus cubed but I had really been needing to upgrade my grey banded kings enclosure and did not want to wait weeks and pay 400+ for a pvc. This was a great option. Worst part of putting together was peeling the blue stuff off, also mine came with acrylic windows not glass, overall for the money its not bad.

Wait what about sanitizing? I have so many sticks but I’m scared of ants or ticks being inside of them

Do you have any legitimate, peer reviewed research that indicates that this is okay, and can you please link it for the chat? Thanks.

It's not "close-minded" to say that leopard geckos should not co-habitate in captivity. It's just asking for trouble. Experienced owners might be able to make it work, but not with six in such a small space (and imo, experienced owners should know better and wouldn't take the risk in the first place). But I'm sure inexperienced/new owners will see this and try to replicate it, and it's not likely to end well.
