Hey, I did exactly everything you did. But it didn´t work. It shows me the at and ok. but when i press the switch it doesnt work. I used a new sim card from KOLBI ICE costa rica. Which SIM am I supposed to use. What am I supposed to do to make it work? Please help!!

the SIM900A needs far more current then the Arduino can deliver, thats why some SMS sending dont work.
The module can consume peaks of 2A during sending
Use a separate power supply or better a 3.7V Li-ion cell !!!!

instead of the button to make the call suffer, can it be done that the call starts every time the Arduino is powered by 12 V?
