A tactical race in Monaco with little overtaking action, but a massively significant round in the championship as Red Bull and Verstappen take the lead in both the Constructor's and Driver's championships after the race at the Principality.

There were a huge number of talking points with Carlos Sainz taking his first podium with Ferrari, Lando Norris making it into the top 3 once again and a comeback drive from Sergio Perez. Not only this but Charles Leclerc's crash on Saturday afternoon proved to be more costly than anticipated after he failed to make the start of the race after a huge risk was taken by Ferrari.

Not only this but Sebastian Vettel made his way to the points for the first time this season with a 5th place finish.

Here are my 5 things we learned from the Monaco grand prix!

You were very kind to the tv directors. The cutaway from Vettel's pit exit was criminal.

Everyone has been laughing about Mazespin, but Tsunoda has been hyped since the season opener and has not shown a single convincing performance since then, whereas Gasly shows week in and week out that this is a truly competive car.

Is was absolutely losing it when Checo came out just in front of Gasly Vettel and Hamilton. Well done Red Bull great to see the team strategy working

Bringing back this question… Does Riccardo regret leaving Red-bull now?

Being that it's an iconic and nostalgic circuit i'd say keep it on the calendar till the end of times.
I'll bet if you ask any of the drivers if they could only win one race in their career wich one it would be, i think the bulk of them would say Monaco.

Binotto said a problem with the left driveshaft had been found on Leclerc's car, replacing the gearbox wasn’t going to fix it

I just hope we can see a great checo race when it isn’t a recovery drive

Sainz definitely had the pace to be threatening Bottas, but for most of it was managing the gap to not get dirty air'd

kinda tired of people associating maxs start of the season to mistakes when you see hamilton in imola and monaco, max is the most consistent rn so people should stop saying that

We've seen the cutaway from action more often, not just at Monaco... But not having a camera ready at pit exit? That's stupid.
