Oh look, climate change denialists in the comments. I might expect better on a channel about science, but apparently not.

THANK YOU. I love you and what you do. Great show!!!!

thank you Hank, for breaking down the findings in a forum hopefully most can come to accept that this is a most serious concern and deserves the attention, it so sorely gets. Big fan of your work, please keep it up. best wishes

By the way, shared your channel with my chemistry teacher, now he suggests you to all of my high school. You really explain this stuff well. Keep up the good work! :D

Truly terrifying most still consider talk like this as crackpot doomsday theory. Maybe we deserve it?

Still, all the models have been wrong so far. They have all predicted a much higher global temperature than we've currently got, yet, they say they're certain they're right. Well, it's easy to demonstrate that they're fundamentally wrong, since their graphs do not line up with reality.

Thanks, I'll be sure to check those out!

I also love you and what you do! Thank you! You inspire me to continue my research in scientific fields.

Does anyone remember the 70s? Scientist proofed back then that the earth was cooling down for 2 decades. All underlined with statistics. They predicted a new iceage.

I love that you provide substantial evidence for the "pause" that this video just discussed by stating "yes there was a pause".

I especially like learning in different ways than the conventional methods. John's views on teaching history is less about learning trivial facts than it is about learning causes and effects, which is far more engaging. Made me fall in love with history even though I've always prefered science.

No problem, outside of my regular work I really get a big kick out of editing and the like. Unfortunately I don't seem to have any innate design skill, so it's something I'll have to work hard at it if I really want it.

Thank you. You are the first person I've seen on YouTube that understands the actual problems with GM foods.

The vlogbrothers channel is Hank and his brother. Hank also runs CrashCourse and has a conference for YouTubers called vidcon. I believe they were originally financed by Google to put together educational videos that would hopefully create an audience where advertising would pay for the production. Instead they've started subbable to support their efforts to avoid being pressed by advertisers.

At least with the rise in temperatures, we'll all be able to use Gliders for transportation! ;) (plenty of thermals and wind shear from all that heat). :P

I wish I could thumb up this comment 50 times. "You have to be vigilant about verifying information that's fed to you."
Well said! A mantra to remind oneself and others (it even includes a little alliteration).

I think you make my point because I believe that the application of science provides one with a much better understanding of it in general than just learning the theories and formulas. Ask your engineering friends if they think that they would be able to apply their knowledge of Physics, Chemistry or whatever their field is if they did not have a very thorough understanding of the fundamentals of these sciences...

And that's actually all I have time for at the moment. Good day.

If anybody is interested; check a guy named potholer for his series on global warming. He used to be a writer for new scientist magazine and is very good with the sources for his presentation.

One of my teachers insists that global warming is caused by human's body heat. How do I react to this?
