Truth is they should have been convicted of war crimes. This dude TU tu did a disservice to the people of South Africa it makes me look like he's is nothing but a pawn of the British crown.

The repulsive smirk on his face has no remorse. Justice comes on judgement day. God is greater. To the survivor of all, peace be with you.

"Imagine some people are in jail for stealing chocolate..."

But these terrible people deserve amnesty? 🙄

Regardless of your politics, I think we can all agree that Truth and Reconciliation was a great level in Halo.

These people don't deserve amnesty. They should all rot in prison. I don't know how South Africans can be so forgiving....

This is so deeply sadistic, and disturbing, this man and others who are responsible should be in jail.💔🇿🇦😔 #Unimaginable

Tutu took a check and betrayed his people. Without restitution, forgiveness and reconciliation is meritless.

tragic to see people so pure they can't fathom that these people will not feel remorse, no matter how nice they are

I am afraid, I didn't know about the mechanisms of Truth and Reconciliation. While magnanimous at one level, I don't think such a procedure would ensure reconciliation and enduring peace. For that, you first needs justice. While capital punishment would have been state sanctioned violence, taking freedom away in the form of a prison sentence would have at least come close to being commensurate with the seriousness of the crimes. Further more, going through the painful process of recording and investing crimes should have been done. Simply granting amnesty does not ensure closure. It is pretending like wounds don't exist. Enshrining human rights and reconstituting organs of the state should have been ensured. The very perpetrator being interviewed is suggesting his former allies are in the police forces. The little that I know about modern South Africa, I don't think that has been achieved.

I’m a Christian, and what comes to mind is this little pray 🙏 God for give them they know not what the do. But true to the light, they know everything that they did. And they knew it was wrong. I’m in that boat also. The dirt that I did I knew it wasn’t right. And I had to pay 💰 the price. They knew it wasn’t right when they was doing it.

Disgusting!! Privilege doesn't know what generosity looks like, when that is all they know, established through torture and greed! They'll deflect "look at what the other person is doing" because don't want to be responsible...that means you have to do the work of being accountable and reconcile...Unless your ❤ understands the real meaning of grace...they will see it as a waste of time. This is exactly what's happening in the good ole' 🇺🇲
