GenX had some very mockable fashion choices in the 80s but how we dressed in the 90s was fire.

As a gen Z I can say being dressed like the hunger games is very fun 😂

Gen X here, and I'll have you know flannel is very warm and so is corduroy! 😂😂❤

I’m just thankful he didn’t make a video about Gen Z not knowing what a photo album is lol

People still wear T-shirts the size of a pair of sheets most days you can’t tell if a girl has pants on or not. I love the big comfy T-shirts over short shorts.

Just wait until Gen Z learns about JNCO jeans.

They thought flannel was grunge, 40 years later still wearing flannel.

I’m so liking how you’re portraying Gen X. It is so spot on!

GenX we had soooo many different eras beginning in the 80s and carrying over into the 90s: jams, stirrup pants, stone washed and acid washed, dark denim, overalls, Cross Colours, FUBU, Esprit, Coca Cola shirts, Nike and Adidas stuff, Skidz, JNCO (began with us), sagging and baggy clothes began with GenX (I was in high school when the trend began and it wasn’t OTT then), skorts, color block outfits, sweater skirts and tops, Nautica, Polo, Hilfiger jackets, Guess and Gap jeans. The grunge look came more into the mid 90s.

Should have gone after the shoulder pads, neon fishnet tops and leg warmers, the flannels and stone-washed jeans were some of the better Gen X looks 😂

I still remember a SNL fake commercial from my childhood that was a fake ad for three legged jeans and the punchline was “hey, they’re no dumber than acid washed jeans”.

Gen X has done a great job of hiding his parachute pants and Members Only jackets. Don't ask about his hair, either.

Yeah. You can't really take Gen X on fashion. The only thing I hated were the shoulder pads, and those weren't really optional. I have no regrets about my fashion choices. And I never got a mullet, so I have no hair regrets either.

Though Gen Z do seem to be the ones with the Q-tip head hair cuts for men. I'm not sure, but I think I hate those more than mullets.

If you want to hit gen x, you need to reference Hammer pants, the grunge era, our day glo fluorescent childhood lol

Okay, this right here is a perfect argument for "Xennials". I was born in '81, and i did NOT wear anything the millennial wore. In fact, I loathed the "juicy sweatpants" and grills. My style was much more Gen X just... Baggier? But not as baggy as Millennials. Definitely more grunge (I'm about an hour from Seattle, so it was practically a requirement 😆).

As Gen X, we have plenty of neon, hairsprayed skeletons in our closets
