when I was little my dad had a g-shock (DW-6600) i saw him wear it all the time. And when he passed away, I found his watch and I claimed it for myself. that was my first watch. Present Day, I stumbled upon The Time Teller channel, I was inspired by Jory to wear watches, collect watches, and learn more about watches. And Because of Jory I picked up the SKX007. so I just want to say thanks T3 for your everything you put out. I support your futures projects.

I have an open-heart Invicta. Just drilled a hole in it. Very satisfying.

GSHOCKS are the watches that got me into collecting watches of all sorts. I have had a dozen of them. There are two in my box right now. I wear them every time I deploy or have to go to drill. I even wore one at my wedding. All my other watches I wanted, but I will always need a GSHOCK.

I just wanted to share the great news that trough the purchase of the world famous Seiko SKX009 I bought myself my very first piece of horological significance and with that the first watch for my collection. I managed to get my hands on one of the last ones, albeit at the little bit higher price of $235. It’s new, it’s the real deal (I checked the serial and case number) and more importantly it’s mine. I chose the SKX009 for my 7 inch wrist because of the Pepsi bezel which I think stands out just a little bit more and looks just a little bit more iconic than the black version on the SKX007.
I did not opt for the smaller SKX013 because I like my watches a little bit larger.
I want to thank you for teaching me about heritage and horology.
Without your channel I probably would have ignorantly bought myself yet another Fossil. Thank you for making the wonderful world of watches accessible to newbies (on a budget) like me who are just starting out their collection. Please keep on making videos because I still have so much to learn about watches especially as I carefully and slowly try to expand and maybe even start to mod the watches of my collection.

Again many thanks, you’ve got yourself a fan and follower for life!

If you have to ask if something’s missing then you’re good. Most days I wear a Seiko 5 and a Vostok. For me, this fills my needs

I find the internet watch communities a double edged sword; on one hand it's great to get information about a variety of watches and hear reviews, but I'm noticing there's a heard mentality for the less experienced watch enthusiast that want that guidance on what to get and just following the herd who are told the same thing (usually ends up being a value retention collection...). I like your collection as it's broad and shows character, and not just all high end luxury watches. Im glad the first few minutes of your video emphasized to do your own thing!

T3 is absolutely correct about the current London time because, though Greenwich is in the London timezone, England is observing BST (British Summer Time) now. This is equivalent to our Daylight Savings Time. This will change back on the last Sunday in October and will once again be equal to GMT and/or ZULU time.

Jory, I have to say, you've got talent ! Your enthusiasm, knowledge and hilarity make you the very best watch channel on YouTube ! I've watched quite a few. Kudos baby !

For me a Seiko SARB033 as the everyday/dress watch and a G-Shock as the sports/diver type watch is all you really need. Like he said the G-Shock has all the complications you could need and fits almost any situation except dress.

I started watching T3 years ago and Jory, you more or less inspired my enthusiasm for horology and watches. You and Urban Gentry, today I just received my Hamilton Khaki field Mechanical in earth green PVD. I love it, just a classic watch that makes you grin. Anyway, I owe years of endless fun and learning to your channel.

I just got done fixing up a gift watch. A Casio Edifice quartz chronograph my friend me got while visiting Spain. I live in America. My first adult watch that I bought is a Casio G-Shock GW9400 Rangeman. Then I just ordered a Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical. Still new to the community. Advice welcome.

2 divers (one black one whatever color you like most) 2 dress (one square one circle or one fancy one minimalist) 2 field (one being regular and the other being chrono).

I have a Seiko Alpinist Reinterpretation (subtle green dial) as fieldwatch option.
A vintage King Seiko 5626 as dresswatch.
A Citizen Promaster as beater/diver(i don't really dive but i like a watch i could wear while swimming).
A Vintage swiss Chronograph with diving Bezel as everyday-watch (From the brand Pierce that fell victim to the Quartz-Crisis but they were the first ones that made Chronographs waterproof)
And a Casio CFX-200 as Digital watch. It is by far the King among all calculator-watches because it is a scientific-calculator. (Very expensive in good condition but absolutely worth it)

I loved this video. Awesome collection. My perfect category lineup: Diver, travel(dual time), chrono, dress watch, Wildcard(just for fun watch). After years in this crazy hobby I actually have my ideal lineup: doxa silverlung, Damasko DA47, speedy pro, nomos club campus, glycine airman mystery. Oh and a g shock gw5000 and skx007 for my beaters ;-) It’s been quite the journey. Thanks for the ongoing inspiration The Timeteller!
