Undertale Purgatory - Undyne #shorts

She'll never stop fighting. You'll never stop suffering. Undyne is ready to rematch you, for the rest of eternity.

Undertale Purgatory is an AU. An after-universe. A collection of familiar faces have gathered to exact revenge on you. They might be shells of their former selves, but they gleefully look forward to tormenting you.

This is new Undertale content that I've looked to forward to debuting! A continuation in the same series as the Mario and Sonic Purgatory videos I have previously done. What makes this series great for shorts is that I can truly make the loops endless. Swipe away if you want to escape, otherwise, stay trapped in Undertale Purgatory... forever.

even with her body rotten and melted like that and she still has some determination on her, it really fits her character how she would do anything for the world's sake

I love the detail in every short where it shows one word that resonates with each character. For Sans it’s “Remember?” which is referring to the promise that he made for you. For Papyrus it’s “Why?” because you murdered him when he was just trying to spare you. For Undyne it says “You.” as in because you’re the one who killed Papyrus and everyone and then her. For Monster Kid it says “Suffer.” because you killed Undyne, his hero. For Muffet it says “Trapped.” because not only are you trapped in the undertale purgatory box with her for all eternity but that’s also what she said before you killed her. For Napstablook it says “nightmare” because for his battle it’s as if you’re having a nightmare.

The fact the soul is trying to escape in anyway it can, including death but can’t die just tells you they have no more determination and just want to give up and go away from the mess they have made, but never can.

The fact that undye has flesh could be showing that even now her determination is pulling her back together, but its still just barely not strong enough to bring herself back from death

Undyne is still honorable enough to give you a shield to defend yourself.

What I find interesting is that to me it seems like each opponent has a slightly different take on the situation you and them are in. Papyrus seems to genuinely want to put you out of your misery with that sharpened shard of bone he was about to use before simply dropping, Sans seems to relish to opportunity to torture you for eternity (which makes sense considering he’s willing to do just that in the genocide route) with how he laughs after each feigned attack, and undyne seems to desperately want to kill you, judging by her willingness to literally shatter her own teeth just to pry into the battle box. Really interesting imo

I love how you basically can’t get hurt which means their turn never ends so you’re there for eternity truly making it a purgatory

I don't think I've ever seen somebody capitalize on the fact that Undyne is a mer-person like that before. That was sick.

Undyne seems to have small traces of leftover DETERMINATION in it even after it's flesh melted from the determination.

This fits Undyne perfectly. The idea that even Undyne who's in a verged of death, melted both in soul and flesh, still tried to stop much evil being is heart wrenching. Even Undyne who look like evil her self, but it got me still rooting for her because we knew she fight for her people and we knew who the real devil is.

Okay, holy fuck. I loved the idea of having the echo flowers show up when Undyne leaves while Waterfall plays to give you a false sense of security before Undyne shows up from seemingly nowhere to eat you, absolutely brilliant

It's haunting to see her reduced to just a spine at first.

The beautiful blue flowers before her final attack really fits the “calm before the storm”
