EDDIE: I will always, think of you. I see you face when each days through, and days go past..

HONEY: oh so fast

BOTH: but memories they last..

HONEY: summer, winter.. year by year

EDDIE: (year by year..)

HONEY: ill hear the song inside my ear

EDDIE: try to restart..

HONEY: that'd be smart...

BOTH: but thoughts of you haunt my heart..

EDDIE: no I don't want to be alone now, biding my time.. I need somebody dearly, and darling.. you'd be sublime

HONEY: spring and autumn up and down..

EDDIE: (up and down..)

HONEY: I keep trying to escape this town..

EDDIE: and I just might.

HONEY: ill take flight..!

BOTH: maybe tomorrow, not tonight...

This is interesting because Honey used to sing this song with crackerjack and I’d assume Eddy sang it with Lorraine, both of them singing only the parts they’d sing in the duet, and everyone else is just seeing them sing half of a duet, it shows how each of them feel incomplete without their loved ones

This is the saddest and most historically accurate song I ever heard.

Bojack will go down in history as one of the wittiest smartest and down right most depressing shows I have ever watched. And it’s about stupid cartoon animal human hybrids. That’s how you know you’re a good writer when you can develop and make the audience genuinely love a character even though they are a cartoon horse. What a fantastic scene this couldn’t have been done better! You know it’s true what they say. The days go fast but the memory’s last.

You know I loved this song before. I recently lost my wife and it hits so perfectly now. It feel so true to the idea of loss and grief. It being a weird tear to my eye knowing someone can capture an emotion so perfectly

I love this scene because it shows off the declining mental states of Honey and Eddie so well if you think about the two audiences she someone sing a songs and pause for someone else to sing a line even though no one else is there.

I'm surprised we never saw Honey in the view from halfway down; I know BoJack never met her but he never met Crackerjack either, the first time he even saw his grandmother and his uncle was in the dust covered photo in the old Sugarman Place 🤔

A duet across time, sung by two people who have experienced the loss of their loved one, who are separated by time.

A mother from 1945, who's outlived her son who died in World War 2.

A widower from 2017, whose wife has died due to a reckless dare that he made.

Together they sing the song they used to sing with their respective loved one, but they only sing the lyrics they usually sang.

As if sensing each other's presence...

One of my favourite scenes and songs in the whole series. Not gonna lie but this show is and was deeper than most people think

an important thing to mention (i dont know if someone has pointed it out yet) is that Eddie's part can be its own song, but Honey's part only makes it better. However, Honey's part makes no sense on it's own and needs to be part of a duet to make sense.

Eddie: I will always think of you. I see your face when each days through, and days go past... but memories they last. Year by year, try to restart, but thoughts of you haunt my heart. No i don't want to be alone now, biding my time, I need somebody dearly, and darling, you'd be sublime. (after this part the song has to be a duet or else it makes little to no sense)

Honey: Oh so fast but memories they last. Summer, winter, year by year, Ill hear the song inside my ear... that'd be smart but thoughts of you haunt my heart. (After this part Honey's lines become more independent and somewhat make sense on their own but again are better as a duet)

I will always think of you
I see your face when each day's through
And days go past
Oh, so fast
But memories, they last
Summer, winter, year by year (Year by year)
I'll hear the song inside my ear
Trying to restart
That'd be smart
But thoughts of you haunt my heart
No, I don't want to be alone now
Just biding my time
I need somebody dearly
And darling, you'd be sublime
Spring and Autumn
Up and down (Up and down)
I keep trying to escape this town
And I just might
I'll take flight
Maybe tomorrow, not tonight

this is why I loved Fabulous Baker Boys and this particular episode. The song depends on how you sing it. It has so many iterations. It's all in how you play it. Kinda like life.
