How to install & setup Maven

Basic steps for installing & setup of Maven:

1) Make sure you've jdk installed.
2) JAVA_HOME should be setup in system environment variable.
4) Set M2_HOME & MAVEN_HOME at system variable

I went into environment variable, put I don't see JAVA_HOME. How do I get/install that?
